National Election Dates:

June 25: Primary Election
August 19-22: Democratic National Convention
November 5: General Election

Important 2024 General Election Deadlines:

September 6: Election Judge training may begin.

September 9: Last day for SOS to certify ballot content and order

September 21: County clerk may begin issuing mail ballots to any eligible elector who requests one in person at the Elections Office.

October 4: Last day for Ballots to be printed and in possession of the county clerk.

October 4: County clerk must begin issuing mail ballots to any eligible elector who requests one in person at the Elections Office.

October 11: First day mail ballots may be mailed to voters.

October 15: Last day to submit an application to register to vote in the 2024 General Election through a voter registration drive.

October 18: Last day to send out initial mail ballots.

October 21 to November 5: Voter service and polling centers must be open.

October 21 to November 5: First day county drop boxes must be open to accept mail ballots.

October 21: First day counting mail ballots may begin. No results may be disclosed before 7 p.m. on election day.

October 28: Last day to submit a voter registration application and receive a ballot in the mail.

October 29: To receive a ballot, a new voter registration applicant must visit a Voter Service and Polling Center.

November 5: Election day. Polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. All ballots must be received by 7 p.m.

November 13: Last day to cure a ballot.

November 13: Last day for military and overseas ballots to be received and counted.

November 15: Last day to finish counting all ballots and publish results.
