Why We Show Up

The Fourth of July is a time to honor the nation’s founding values of freedom and democracy. For Mesa County Democrats, it’s also a moment to:

  • Celebrate progress made in our community

  • Reaffirm our commitment to protecting voting rights, equity, and justice

  • Remind voters that democracy works best when we all participate

Community Impact

Our presence at the parade and festival made a statement: democracy is for everyone. By walking together, waving flags, and engaging with parade-goers, we showed that patriotism includes standing up for fairness, inclusion, and the voices of all Coloradans.
